98.   Magdalen's Announcement To the Disciples

Meanwhile Magdalen reached the Cenacle like one beside herself, and knocked violently at the door. Some of the disciples were still asleep on their couches around the walls, while several others had risen and were talking together. Peter and John opened the door. Magdalen, without entering, merely uttered the words: 'They have taken the Lord from the tomb! We know not where"- and ran back in great haste to the garden of the sepulcher.
