Exodus 1 1 The LORD answered him, ＂See! I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall act as your prophet. 上主向梅瑟说：＂看，我使你在法朗前像神一样，你的哥哥亚郎将作你的代言人。 2 You shall tell him all that I command you. In turn, your brother Aaron shall tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave his land. 凡我吩咐你的一切，你要告诉你的哥哥亚郎，要他对法朗讲话，叫他放以色列子民离开他的国境。 3 Yet I will make Pharaoh so obstinate that, despite the many signs and wonders that I will work in the 我却要使法朗心硬，为此在埃及国要增多我的奇迹和异事。 4 he will not listen to you. Therefore I will lay my hand on 但因法朗不听从你们，我要向埃及伸手，借严厉的惩罚，将我的军队，我的百姓以色列子民，从埃及国领出来。 5 so that the Egyptians may learn that I am the LORD, as I stretch out my hand against 当我向埃及人伸手，将以色列子民从埃及人中间领出来的时候，他们要承认我是上主。＂ 6 Moses and Aaron did as the LORD had commanded them. 梅瑟和亚郎就受命行事；上主怎样吩咐，他们就怎样行了。 7 Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh. 当他们去与法朗会谈的时候，梅瑟八十岁，亚郎八十三岁。 8 The LORD told Moses and Aaron, 上主对梅瑟和亚郎说： 9 ＂If Pharaoh demands that you work a sign or wonder, you shall say to Aaron: Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, and it will be changed into a snake.＂ ＂如果法朗要求你们说：你们显个奇迹，给你们作证罢！你就吩咐亚郎说：将你的棍杖扔在法朗的面前，棍杖就会变成一条蛇。＂ 10 Then Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it was changed into a snake. 梅瑟和亚郎就去见法朗，照上主的吩咐做了：亚郎将棍杖扔在法朗和他的臣仆面前，棍杖就变成了一条蛇。 11 Pharaoh, in turn, summoned wise men and sorcerers, and they also, the magicians of 法朗将他的智者和术士召来，这些埃及的巫士也用他们的巫术作了同样的事： 12 Each one threw down his staff, and it was changed into a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed their staffs. 他们每人扔下自己的棍杖，也都变成了蛇，但亚郎的棍杖却吞了他们的棍杖。 13 Pharaoh, however, was obstinate and would not listen to them, just as the LORD had foretold. 法朗仍然心硬，不肯听他们的话，正如上主所说。 14 2 Then the LORD said to Moses, ＂Pharaoh is obdurate in refusing to let the people go. 上主对梅瑟说：＂法朗硬了心，拒绝释放百姓。 15 Tomorrow morning, when he sets out for the water, go and present yourself by the river bank, holding in your hand the staff that turned into a serpent. 明天早晨你去见法朗。他去水边的时候，你要站在尼罗河边迎住他；手中拿着那根变过蛇的棍杖。 16 Say to him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you with the message: Let my people go to worship me in the desert. But as yet you have not listened. 你对他说：上主，希伯来人的天主打发我来见你说：你应放我的百姓到旷野中去崇拜我；但到现在你仍没有听从。 17 The LORD now says: This is how you shall know that I am the LORD. I will strike the water of the river with the staff I hold, and it shall be changed into blood. 上主这样说：看，我要用我手中拿的棍杖击打河水，水就变成血，如此你必承认，我是上主。 18 The fish in the river shall die, and the river itself shall become so polluted that the Egyptians will be unable to drink its water.＂ 河中的鱼都要死，河水都要腥臭，埃及人不能再喝河中的水。＂ 19 The LORD then said to Moses, ＂Say to Aaron: Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt--their streams and canals and pools, all their supplies of water--that they may become blood. Throughout the 上主对梅瑟说：＂你向亚郎说：拿起你的棍杖，将手伸在埃及的水上，即伸在河、沟渠、池沼和一切水塘之上，水都要变成血；如此埃及全国，连木器石器中的水也都要变成血。＂ 20 Moses and Aaron did as the LORD had commanded. Aaron raised his staff and struck the waters of the river in full view of Pharaoh and his servants, and all the water of the river was changed into blood. 梅瑟和亚郎就照了上主的吩咐作了：亚郎在法朗和他臣仆的面前，举起棍杖一打河水，所有的河水都变成了血； 21 The fish in the river died, and the river itself became so polluted that the Egyptians could not drink its water. There was blood throughout the 河中的鱼都死了，河水都腥臭不堪，埃及人不能再喝河中的水；埃及遍地是血。 22 But the Egyptian magicians did the same by their magic arts. So Pharaoh remained obstinate and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had foretold. 埃及的巫士用他们的巫术也行了同样的事，因此法朗仍旧心硬，不肯听信梅瑟和亚郎，正像上主所说的。 23 He turned away and went into his house, with no concern even for this. 法朗转身回到宫中，没有把事放在心上。 24 All the Egyptians had to dig in the neighborhood of the river for drinking water, since they could not drink the river water. 因为全埃及的人不能喝河中的水，便在河的附近掘水喝。 25 Seven days passed after the LORD had struck the river. 上主击打河水后，满了七天， 26 3 Then the LORD said to Moses, ＂Go to Pharaoh and tell him: Thus says the LORD: Let my people go to worship me. 上主又对梅瑟说：＂你去见法朗向他说：上主这样说：你该放我的百姓走，好叫他们去崇拜我。 27 If you refuse to let them go, I warn you, I will send a plague of frogs over all your territory. 你若拒绝不放,我要用虾蟆打击你的全境。 28 The river will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and into your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your servants, too, and your subjects, even into your ovens and your kneading bowls. 河中要滋生虾蟆，它们要上来进入你的宫殿和卧室，爬上你的床榻，进入你臣仆和你百姓的房屋，进入你的炉灶和搏面盆。 29 The frogs will swarm all over you and your subjects and your servants.＂ 这些虾蟆要爬到你、你百姓、你臣仆的身上。＂ Footnotes(注解) 1 [1] Just as God had his prophets to speak to men in his name, so Moses had Aaron as his ＂prophet＂to speak to Pharaoh.
