Let it return to its own place, that it may not kill us and our kindred.＂ A deadly panic had seized the whole city, since the hand of God had been very heavy upon it. 遂立刻派人召集培肋舍特所有的酋长来，向他们说，＂你们把以色列天主的约柜送走，送回原处，免得杀害我们和我们的百姓。＂因为全城的人死的太多了，天主的手重重地压制了那地方。 12 Those who escaped death were afflicted with hemorrhoids, and the outcry from the city went up to the heavens. 凡没有死的人，都患了毒疮，因此城中哀号之声，上达于天。 Footnotes(注解) 1 [6] Hemorrhoids . . . mice: a double calamity fell upon them-a plague of mice or rats, and a severe epidemic of pestilential tumors, probably the bubonic plague. |
